Affordable Condo Issues

For Affordable Dwelling Unit (ADU) owners experiencing rising condo fees and long-term resale restrictions, the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has put forward a process to evaluate the affordability of each ADU and possibly allow owners to rent or sell to people in higher income categories. Information on this process and the form are on DHCD’s website at

Though more issues need to be ironed out for current and future owners, we are one step closer to revising these onerously restrictive policies.  Thank you all!
